Senior Director, Jewel Pierre-Roscelli is a Dakota woman with family in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and Roseau River Anishinaabe First Nation. Her values are deeply rooted in the Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Jewel is guided by the Dakota teaching of “being a good relative”. The ultimate aim of Dakota life was that one must be a good relative, to be honourable at all times, and courteous to all.
